Maths problem.

In our maths group we have been working on our time tables. This is one that you should try to figure out useing the steps that we do: 67x5= so what you have to do is: 6x5=30 so all you have to do is add the 0 to the 6 to make it 60 and a 0 to the answer so it ends up like this: 60x5=300 Then you do: 7x5=35 So then its 300+35=335 easy right?
We have been learning about times tables such as: 1,253 times 5 This is how you work it out: you take the 1000 and times it by 5 but instead we do: 5 times 1,000 which equals 5,000 Then we have to work out 200 times 5 and that equals 1,000 Then we take 5 times 50 and that equals 250 then we put together the last of the equation:5 times 3 and that equals 15 So we now add all of numbers that we had and put all them together and it = 6,265 Problemoe solved
We have been working on times table like this 155 times 4 this is how you work it out 100 times 4 = 400 + 50 times 4 = 200 +5 times 4 =20=620 and that is how you do it.

Dance comp :)

Next week on Thursday, I have a dance competition down at Hawera.

Mum Gillian and I, have decided to go down to Hawera on Wednesday and stay at a motel.
We are doing that because mum told me that we have to be there at the dance comps at 9:00 o'clock in the morning.

I have to get all my make up on, mum has to do my hair, I have to get changed and lots more things.

Mum worked out that we would have to get up at 4:00 o'clock in the morning to go!!!
NO WAY! That is way to early for us.
So thats why we are going on Wednesday night to the motel in Hawera.
Its going to be sooooo fun, we are going to have a girly night, and will be really relaxed, that might help for my competition.

Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker said losing the America's Cup final was "hard to fathom ... hard to swallow" and he's gutted at not being able to bring the trophy back to New Zealand.
He was proud of the way his team fronted in the last race today but conceded the inevitable happened with Oracle's superior boat speed giving them the edge and a 9-8 win on the points table.
"It's very hard to fathom," Barker said.
"But we felt we didn't leave anything on the table today.
"We knew that upwind we had a fight on our hands against a boat that's fast, it's hard to swallow.
"We got the start we wanted and led around the first two marks but they got us upwind."
Barker said Oracle's improvement had to be commended.
"Look back two weeks ... the gains they have made were phenomenal. We're probably lucky they didn't do it earlier."
Tactician Ray Davies said the crew gave it all today but admitted they simply weren't good enough in the end as rivals Oracle claimed the America's Cup.
"It's very sad," Davies said as the Kiwis looked back on their 9-8 defeat, having lost the last eight races.
"We gave it our all today, and we're proud of that. We can hold our heads high.
"But Oracle came to the party and they deserved to win."
Davies felt they had pushed Oracle hard but couldn't hold off their incredible comeback.
"They were phenomenal," he said of Oracle.
"They really picked their game up. They had to sail well to beat us and they did that."
Davies said they had run out of development gains as the business end of the final dragged on, with the match lasting 19 days in a relentless final, allowing little time off the water for anyone.
"We felt the boat was going well at the beginning ... we had it optimised.
"But Oracle found a couple of gears and good on them. That was the difference."
"We're very disappointed with the way today finished up," Barker added.

"San Francisco have been such fantastic hopes, they have made the team feel incredibly welcome.
"To Oracle, amazing, we thought it was in our favour and the way they have turned things around, is amazing.
"The never say die attitude of my team has been incredible, even today when the writing was on the wall.
"And to our most loyal supporters here in San Francisco, at home and around the world ... you'll never know what the support means to us. We gave it our absolute all. Thank you for the belief.

My TNZ opinions

My opinion on what the TNZ is thinking, talking and wondering right now. I think that TNZ are talking about how they are going to adjust and change how they do the sail and how fast there going.
I also think that they are talking about stratigies on how they are going to win.
One last thing is that I think that TNZ are going to choose in there boat for the race.
And that was my opinions on what TNZ was thinking, talking and wondering about.

My arms move with the push of the wind. Bruised and battered like a crabstick, I lie abandoned in the right-hand road lane. The constant roll of wheels rush past my yellowed body, threatening to squish me like a flattened pancake. Then I really would be a banana smoothie!!

Dancing

On Friday the 6th of September we had assembly. At assembly Ashlee,
Siobhan and Courtney did a dance for assembly for everyone to watch.
It was a cross between Gymnastics, Highland dancing and Jazz.
We did that because we all do different sort of activities, Ashlee does Gymnastics,
Siobhan does Highland dancing and Courtney (me) does Jazz.
The dance took us about 2 weeks to prepare, then we got asked if we were ready to
do our dance in assembly, of course we said because we are confident and knew that
we could do it.
